Birthday Project

Some family projects go really smoothly and others test our patience a little more. For M's birthday, she wanted pull out drawers in the "plastics cupboard" She found a few directions and the adventure began. It started with the date to Home Depot where you price out the materials and included the debate to buy the saw or just use M's dad's. Well, thanks to a dad who is generous with his time, we got the boxes built and M brought them home for J to install.

Things were going pretty smoothly until M moved the parts around that J had set aside to await assembly. When she did it a second time, M decided her "helping" wasn't helping much and she headed out to pick up a gift for a family birthday party. J stayed behind to finish the job.

This is what M found when she returned home:

M loves her birthday shelves and her birthday roses!

Thanks Dad, for your helping hands. Thanks J, for the great gift and for all your patience.

It only took one trip to Home Depot? I am impressed!
